Rob van Kranenburg is a Dutch researcher and strategist known for his work on artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, digital governance and the future of work. He founded the #IoT Council in 2009 and has contributed to European innovation projects, policy groups and advisory boards focused on smart infrastructure and emerging technologies.
His work explores how humans, AI systems and connected devices can collaborate in responsible and productive ways. He is also associated with the concept of Intercentrality, which examines the balance between centralized and decentralized governance in digital societies.
As Vice Chair of IEEE Open 6G Devices Architecture, Rob contributes to discussions about AI, IoT and next-generation connectivity. His career has centered on connecting technology, policy and organizational design to help institutions understand and respond to digital change.
